Valuations

Valuations usually go hand-in-hand with the authentication process. Typically, a family member brings us a work which their parents purchased in Paris during the 1950s. They want to know what it is, if it’s real and what it could be sold for.

With 30 years experience as buyers and sellers of fine art, we have first-hand knowledge of the international marketplace on a day-to-day basis. We can estimate the value of almost any work of art within our area of expertise at the time of inspection.

Formal written appraisals are only issued for insurance purposes. In our opinion, there is a serious conflict of interest when a buyer and seller of art also appraises. That is why we only offer other types of written appraisals in the capacity as an expert witness for court proceedings.

We welcome your inquiries and offer initial consultations at no charge.
